In response to the demand of the pharmaceutical industry’s development and to further broaden the direction of talent cultivation, the School of Pharmacy officially established the Department of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science and Pharmacoeconomics on April 30, 2021, based on thorough research and integration of internal and external disciplinary resources. The department relies on doctoral and master's degree programs in the field of pharmacy, focusing on teaching and research in basic theories and methods of pharmacoeconomics, pharmaceutical regulatory science and capabilities, and evaluation of medical insurance and pharmacoeconomics. The department aims to promote the development of the discipline of pharmaceutical regulatory science and pharmacoeconomics while serving the training of innovative, applied, and interdisciplinary pharmaceutical talents.

The department's educational positioning highlights the characteristics of medical schools, emphasizing interdisciplinary studies and innovative organizational structures. It aims to explore the implementation path of high-level, distinctive interdisciplinary, and applied disciplines in medical schools to serve the overall development strategy of the university during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
